I really freaked out at the beginning of this pregnancy, and it definitely affected my work. Everything worried me, and I felt pretty irrational, weepy, and nauseous-like-whoah. I'm finally simmering and enjoying this whole debacle, now that I know she's healthy and all is apparently well. I've also been given the green-light to start dyeing my wool again, which has helped me gain momentum with my fiber preparation.
I'm considering a pretty big change for Hobbledehoy- creating my own website linked up to BigCartel as an e-commerce component. I like the clean shop-front provided by BigCartel, and having a domain for my goods would make advertising easier. For anyone who has made the switch (or is considering a switch) to their own domain, please let me know how that's going for you! I'm still researching options.
I hope everyone is looking forward to the impending season-of-knitting!

She's baa-aaack! Yay for more dyeing!
As for your own site, I know Ginny of FatCatKnits is considering this same sort of thing (though I don't know what host she's looking at). Maybe you two could compare notes.
Congratulations! I am looking forward to the cool down. Unfortunately I had to finish up a wool baby blanket mid summer with my electricity out! It was quite warm with that thing on my lap.
Yay for the little girl, I love Nora for a name..
I've always had my own site so I wouldn't know (my husband is a developper, which helps) but I hope you'll still remain on Etsy as well. :-P
Incredibly happy for all of this news!!! Congrats Miz Liz-- Ingrid Nora is a beautiful name. I had my youngest at the yarnshop one day this week-- home from school with a fever ALREADY-- and this really nice elderly lady said to her "Did you know that your name is one of the first gifts your parents give you?" Ingrid NOra is a lovely gift. :) xo
Congrats on the girl. Love Nora. I thought my first one was going to be a boy, and she was a girl.
I'm looking at 3-D cart for my shopping site. Think that's what I'm going to go with. I can't get the same traffic on Etsy that I get on my site. Plus I can't sell alpaca teddy bears on Etsy.
Yay! I'm glad you're feeling more yourself and are back to doing what you love. :-)
